Plusnet plans to raise its broadband, line rental and home phone prices by nearly 15% starting March 31st, 2023. This is due to an annual price increase outlined in Plusnet’s terms and conditions, which will likely result in prices for almost all of its customers increasing by 14.4% in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a standard practice for Plusnet, which is known for being a good-value broadband provider, but the increase is even steeper than usual due to the high rate of inflation. This increase is in addition to the extra 3.9% that Plusnet adds to inflation every year. If you’re a Plusnet customer, you may want to check if you can find a better broadband deal elsewhere as a result of this price hike. The increase affects almost all of Plusnet’s broadband and home phone customers, whether they are currently in a fixed-term contract or not. However, if your initial contract term has finished, you’ll be able to switch broadband providers to avoid the price hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prices for Plusnet’s broadband service, Fibre Extra, and home phone service, along with the BT Sport app, could increase by up to \u00a380 per year. The increase is a result of a 14.4% rate hike, which breaks down to a 10.5% and 3.9% increase. Increase amount (10.5% + 3.9%)        <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 If you’re currently in the middle of your fixed-term contract, you won’t be able to cancel your contract early without paying an exit fee. However, you may find it worth the money to pay for a few months of early exit fees if you can find a much cheaper deal right now. If your contract has finished, you’ll be able to switch to a new deal right away, free of charge and regardless of Plusnet’s annual increase. If you’re approaching the end of your contract with Plusnet, you may be facing much steeper out of contract price hikes.
