The Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) has revealed the shortlist of finalists for its 2022 annual industry awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nominees for Best Consumer ISP awards include Hyperoptic, KCOM, Brsk, and NOW Broadband, while CityFibre and Netomnia are two of the AltNets up for the Best Infrastructure prize. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Other categories include Best ISP Business and Best customer innovator. This year sees the first ever Best Rural ISP Category, with Cornwall-based Altnet Wildanet tipped as the hot favourite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There’s also a Digital Inclusion Award, Outstanding Achievement Award, and Interternt Hero\/Villain of the year award. Nominees for those will be revealed closer to the ceremony, which takes place on 24th November at the Landmark Hotel in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This year’s ISPA Awards shortlist reflects the UK’s vibrant and exciting broadband sector,” said ISPA Chair Steve Leighton. “<\/strong>From household names, new entrants and scale-ups, we’re pleased to be showcasing all the achievements made in the past twelve months that are seeing fibre deployment accelerated, data usage and speeds increased, and more support for customers struggling with the cost of living.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “I’m really looking forward to seeing the winners unveiled in November.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n Categories are judged by a panel of independent industry experts. This year’s judges include Rob Chambers, Managing Director at Total Telecom, Digital Compliance Hub owner Mark Gracey, and several leading AltNet industry journalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The ISPA Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the great work being done by the industry in rolling out broadband and connecting consumers and businesses,” said the judges in a press release. “The quality of this year\u2019s categories shows how strong the sector is right now.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We’d like to congratulate those who made it onto the shortlist. We will have a tough job on our hands determining the winners. And that\u2019s a great signal of the current strength of the UK ISP sector.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n The ISP is the UK’s trade association for internet service providers.
