Giganet has purchased Cuckoo as part of plans to consolidate as one of the UK’s biggest independent internet service providers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s the latest phase in Giganet’s rapid expansion into the UK’s alternative internet provider space. Giganet, which is headquartered in Fareham, Portsmouth, launched its full fibre broadband to the premises service less than 12 months ago. It can now deliver superfast broadband to 9 million homes across the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cuckoo will continue operating under its own name, becoming the lead consumer brand for Giganet’s core residential customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two firms are an ideal match. As well as delivering fast and affordable internet to areas with poor connectivity, Giganet and Cuckoo have shown a commitment to keeping a lid on rising broadband prices. Both firms introduce a no price rise promise, freezing the cost of all their tariffs until 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They’ve also called for better deals for loyal customers, who often end up paying more than those who have just signed up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
