Hull-based IoT and digital infrastructure specialist Connexin has acquired Pure Broadband to continue its fibre expansion across Hull and the Yorkshire region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Connexin’s acquisition of Hull-based internet service provider (ISP) Pure Broadband will welcome over 15,000 new customers and increase its workforce to almost 150 employees, making Connexin one of the largest alternative network providers (alt-nets) in the North. Pure Broadband recently won Awarded for customer service and marketing, serving customers using wireless and fibre optic networks in Hull and nationally. The news, which follows the acquisition of Hull ISP Wisper Broadband, scales the team and accelerates Connexin’s commitment to challenge Hull’s incumbent. As the network continues to expand rapidly, customers will have access to premium broadband services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Current Pure Broadband customers will not see any changes to their service or billing, but can take their broadband experience to the next level with the acquisition. Connexin recently demonstrated speeds in excess of 2Gbps, the fastest home broadband speeds in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This acquisition brings together two of the best technology companies in the region. The acquisitions of Wisper and Pure Broadband, as well as the launch of Connexin\u2019s own 10Gbps capable full fibre\u00a0 network, demonstrate its commitment to the region and investment in the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The transaction was supported by corporate law firm Orrick and finance and tax due diligence specialists RSM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
